Master Bathroom Facelift
This Austin, Texas couple couldn't wait to eliminate the tired wallpaper in their master bathroom and update the other surfaces and finishes. They were also dying to do something about the darkness of their claustrophobic shower stall.
To start with, Room Fu's redesign calls for swift stripping of the wallpaper. The existing cabinets are given a more modern, darker stain and an unused dressing table is filled with drawers for desperately-needed toiletry storage.
A new tile backsplash, nickel fixtures, and marble counters take twenty years off the aged look of the vanities.
The shower transformation below is the biggest quality-of-life enhancement in the whole bathroom remodel. Unable to expand the footprint of the stall itself, Room Fu's design plan increases the illusion of space tenfold by eliminating a side wall and replacing it with floor-to-ceiling seamless glass. A fresh tile design on the remaining two walls coordinates with the original tile floor and the new backsplash design on the vanities.
The garden tub is resurfaced with a pristine white finish and updated further with new nickel fixtures, completing this redesign.
