Staging and Accessorizing
While Room Fu can help you stage your home for sale, we also offer accessorizing services for those of you who need help pulling a look together in the home you live in. Accessorizing is a vital step in the design process that is often overlooked and underrated. You might see this concept referred to as a "redesign" on home decorating shows, but no matter what you call it, the right accessories and staging can give a home the WOW factor many people are looking for. Below is an example of how Room Fu's Design Guru can give your home that fab look.

Here, the homeowners have incorporated a pair of new media cabinets and box shelves into their living room, based on a design plan created by Room Fu for their entertainment area. (If you're curious about this project, here are more details and photos.) They've loaded the shelves with books and objects and it looks perfectly nice, right?

Isn't it amazing how simply rearranging things can make a world of a difference? Room Fu's Design Guru incorporated a few additional accessories to add pops of color and sculptural interest, but mostly this redesign features objects and art already in the living room or found elsewhere in the home.
By focusing on your existing belongings, Room Fu's Design Guru gives you a designer look that reflects your own unique interests and personality.
So how does this service work?
First, we set up a consultation to find out what your budget and needs are for the space, as well as take reference pictures and measurements as needed. Next, Room Fu's Design Guru shops for any additional accessories you may need to flesh out your look, and then we come back in to artfully rearrange your space. We actually purchase more than we might need so we can try different things in the room and edit on-site. Once the Design Guru has rearranged your space, we'll return whatever merchandise doesn't work or is not needed.
How much does this service cost?
Generally speaking, you'll want to budget around $200-250 in merchandise and between 6-8 hours of design time, depending on your accessories needs (for example, selecting appropriate art requires several additional hours). This may seem like a lot to spend on little details--and we can absolutely work with any budget--but this is really an investment that makes a room look finished and put together.
